The mission of the Turkey Tribunal is to assess and report in an independent and professional manner, based on the standards and principles elaborated by other international courts and tribunals and drawing on the experience of the best practices of national courts, all allegations of human rights violations taking place under the jurisdiction of Turkish authorities.

Program Flow and Sessions

The Tribunal, the panel of judges and the registrars, will continue to work at every mid-day break during the program, and during the evening hours after the sessions for deliberations and to draft out the opinion. In addition, the Tribunal will hold another session under the presidency of the President of the Court, Prof. Em. Dr. Françoise Barones Tulkens, until noon on Friday, September 24, in order to put the the opinion in a final written form. However, if the text of the opinion is not yet final, the President of the Court may decide to postpone the announcement of their decision (from its scheduled date, afternoon of Friday, September 24) to a later date. The public will be informed about this later.
