Impunity Witness: The witness, who is a fashion designer and an activist for LGBTQ rights, testified that on multiple occasions he has been subject to violence. He testified that on 28 December 2012 he was subjected to organised violence and that none of the perpetrators were caught. In 2013, he took part in the Gezi Park protests. The witness reported that in 2017 the Turkish government started a campaign against him, and he was deported from Cyprus to Turkey. He landed at Atatürk Airport where, according to his testimony, he was physically and verbally attacked by people on the tarmac. The witness stated that they were trying to lynch him at the airport and that nobody has been held accountable for these actions.
